Description
DNA polymerase from Thermococcus kodakaraensis KOD is one of the most efficient thermostable DNA Polymerases with higher accuracy and elongation velocity than any other available DNA polymerase. The KOD DNA Polymerase exhibits 3’-5’ exonuclease (proofreading) activity that enables the polymerase to correct nucleotide incorporation errors. It has no 5’-3’ exonuclease activity. This product is an optimized ready-to-use PCR mixture of KOD DNA Polymerase, PCR buffer, MgCl2 and dNTPs. The 2xKOD PCR Master contains all components for PCR, except DNA template and primers.

Protocol
1、All solutions should be thawed on ice, gently vortexed and briefly centrifuged. Add in a thin walled PCR tube on ice, for a total 50μl reaction volume,each tube 25ul, then store at -20℃,avoiding frozen-thawn repeatedly;
2、For 25ul 2xKOD PCR Master, add forward primer, reverse primer and template DNA, then add water (nuclease-free) to total volume 50ul;
3、Place samples in a thermocycler and start the PCR program;
4、Agarose gel electrophoresis analysis of PCR product.
